Event Description : DANCE : Hamsadhwani and IGL Present "Simeon" An Indo-European Dance Ensemble 

SIMEON is an Indian contemporary dance performance, choreography by Kalpana Raghuraman, performed LIVE by the Matangi Quartet and the dancers of KalpanArts, to the music of the well known Dutch composer Simeon ten Holt. A double-bill based on Simeon ten Holts famous pieces Canto Ostinato and Lemniscaat, in which Kalpana shows the ‘individual’ and ‘the group’ and the pressure of day to day life. Musicians and dancers work together and create a new perspective on dance and ten Holt’s minimalist music.
