Social and Azadi Records are thrilled to introduce to you, the Icon, a monthly property with the purpose of showcasing the icons of the Indian hip-hop community. A great mix of unique sounds and forward- thinking music curated by Azadi records, the Icon promises to create an exciting experience for its audiences, and introduce them to the driving forces of the Indian independent music movement.
Kala Kurta Gang, popularly known as KKG, is a well- known Hip Hop group from Chandigarh. Its 3 members Sikander Kahlon, Rob C and Sady Immortal have been creating music since the past 8 years. With a strong affiliation with Manj Musik, who also happens to be the lead vocalist of the world famous group RDB, the Kala Kurta Gang has released over 200 songs on Youtube. Each member brings a unique style to the group, which is apparent in their music. While Sikander and Sady rap mostly in Punjabi, Rob C who started out as an English rapper, is presently a multi lingual one, switching between Hindi and Punjabi as well.
With the purpose of highlighting the current scenario of the music industry in India, the crew recently released their brand new single "Fake Yeezys" on May 20.
