7:15 PM: Interactive panel discussion with experts- Dr Nicole Seguy (WHO), Dr Gagandeep Kang (THSTI), Dr Maggie Keane (IAVI), Anjali Gopalan (Naaz Foundation)
This HIV Vaccine Awareness Day, New York-based Delhi Dance Theater and Delhi-
based PULSE are partnering with the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI) to
present “I am +,” a dance theater piece which will explore the highs and lows of living
and working with HIV in India, underlining the importance of ongoing scientific research
aimed at ending the epidemic.
“I am +” is a collaborative effort, developed with musicians, visual artists, and scientists.
The performance will help you understand the character of the virus, the socio-
psychological impact of testing positive and the science of research, through the eyes of
researchers and positive patients.
It will commence with a lobby art fair, including HIV illustration stories by leading illustrator Indu Harikumar and IAVI. These along withinteractive photo and video stations will provide a deeper insight into the subject.
Post-performance, there will also be an interactive panel discussion offering an
opportunity for the audience to engage with the artists and experts, around the subject.
Join us for this unique experience illustrating science through arts.
