SUPRIYA PATHAK KAPUR
Supriya Pathak Kapur is an Indian Film, Television and Stage Actress. She was born in Mumbai, India. She is most popular for playing the role of Hansa Parekh in the sitcom, Khichdi, and for her vitriolic avatar of Dhankor Baa in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela.

She began her career with the critically acclaimed 1981 film Kalyug which was followed by roles in much more critically acclaimed films such as Vijeta (1982), Bazaar (1983), Masoom (1983) and Mirch Masala (1985). She also had a minor role as Mahatma Gandhi's niece in the multi-award- winning biopic Gandhi (1982) and starred in the 1988 French film The Bengali Night alongside Hugh Grant.

She has been prolific on the small screen as well and is known for her roles in serials like Idhar Udhar, Ek Mahal Ho Sapno Ka, Khichdi, Baa Bahoo Aur Baby and Chanchan among others. After an 11-year hiatus from acting, she starred in the 2005 film Sarkar, followed by its sequel, Sarkar Raj in 2008 and Sarkar 3 in 2017. She was applauded for her portrayal of a subservient mother who tries hard to fill the generation gap with her son in Wake Up Sid (2009). The Film fare magazine called her rendering of the sinister Dhankor Baa in 2013's Ram-Leela as the 'watershed of her career'.
