Event Description : TALK : Greha Delhi presents "Experiencing Participatory Architecture in Rural India"

Speakers: Peu Banerjee and P. K. Das. 

This talk discusses the experience of architecture in rural India through participatory process by involving the community and the architect. The protagonist is the community and its culture of building. Examples illustrate how the process converges community wisdom and the architect’s knowledge of the wider world in the act of creating people’s architecture.
