Event Description : FEST : Sanatan Sangeet Sanskriti, under the esteemed guidance of Shri Ashok Vajpeyi ji present "Ghalib ki Dilli: Words in the Garden – A Celebration of Literature, Arts and Ideas"
Words in the Garden was designed to celebrate the incredible creativity, imagination and ideas that Delhi generates, sustains and embodies. It brings together some of the most brilliant and inspiring people from the fields of literature, ideas, art, social sciences and other public spheres to exchange words about timeless topics in the heart of Delhi’s cultural hub.
Last year the theme was Meer ki Dilli. The festival unfolded over a series of sessions that explored his poetry and the relevance of his sentiments and beliefs in the modern city of Delhi. This year the theme is Ghalib ki Dilli; a tribute to the great poet, Mirza Ghalib on his 220th birth year.
The sessions this year will be a series of workshops, recitals, readings, walks, conversations, screenings, baithaks, mehfils and theatre.
Each session has been named after a famous Ghalib verse and the panelists and performers will be interpreting those titular sentiments.
