It dwells on the author’s travels through the wastelands of Western India to document ancient water-harvesting systems. Unique to India, stepwells have been an integral bridge between several Indian civilizations and demonstrate brilliant examples of innovative engineering. An illustrated talk with stunning photographs from the book, the author will discuss the vast field research that went into producing the book.
