The show’s inaugural session was presented in Delhi on 15th Apr 2017 at the Andhrapradesh Bhawan auditorium and after its successful presentation in other cities across the nation the concluding event in Delhi’s Sri Sathya Sai Auditorium will witness the impressive lineup of vocalists and instrumentalists including Pt. Bhajan Sopori (Padma Awardee) Vidushi Rita Dev, Sh Durjay Bhaumik and others. National Foundation for Communal Harmony is a collaborating partner for the concert series.

Encouraging communal harmony in society ever since, National Foundation for Communal Harmony moved towards a substantial and meaningful collaboration with Nadd Foundation few years back liking their idea of spreading the message via universal language of music rather than any homily or campaign. The renowned Tabla Player & active member of Nadd Foundation, Durjay Bhaumik believes, “Music is the best means to be in harmony as it transports same melodies to all ears, and soothing pleasure to every soul”. Indeed, music, whether classical, folk or any other genre, doesn’t discriminate on the grounds of social status, caste, color and creed.

This year, the organization’s multicity series  ‘Concert for Harmony’, to seek it’s goal of restoring the atmosphere of deep inner peace through the gushing of Indian Classical Music, has  brought the musical fiesta of exquisite combination of live performances by distinguished names in the arena of Hindustani Classical Music, namely  Flute maestro Pt. Ronu Mazumdar, Mohan Veena maestro Pt. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, Vocalists’ Ritesh &Rajnish Mishra, Dr Nabanita Chowdhary, Tabla wizard Ustad Sabir Khan, Sitarist Partho Bose, Sarod player Biswajit Roy Chowdhury and the likes.

Like Durjay says, “When we are in tune, we are in harmony”, the guests would be so enthralled by ‘Concert of Harmony’ that has entertainment value, and at the same time, a message to spread love & peace when the world is full of violence, conflict, and avariciousness.
