Event Description : EXHIBITION "Indian Contemporaries" a group art show.
This show of 44 Indian contemporary artists is dedicated to the 70th Anniversary of India-Russia Diplomatic Relations and supported by the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of India.
Curated by Aakshat Sinha, it was a part of International art fair, Art Russia 2017 in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia (29th September - 8th October 2017) and includes artists from different parts of India and with varied experience. This juxtaposition of 1' x 1' works by all the artists, creates an eclectic mix of the present Indian contemporary art. The show was able to successfully break the existing stereotypes around Indian art among the Russian audience and wishes to engage the Indian audience on its return to homeland.
