Event Description : EXHIBITION : Art & Soul presents "Spectrum” Solo Show of sculptures by Arzan Khambatta
Arzan Khambatta came into the limelight with his exhibition ‘Scraptures’ where he created wonders out of metal scrap. Arzan now works with fresh sheets of metal. The result of his filing, bending, moulding, cutting, welding and burning is a collection of work that is dramatic in impact: rivers of lava surging through charged valleys, flaming planets spiraling dizzily in space among others. He often uses light and shadow to heighten the nuances of moods in his works. Khambatta’s works are found in corporate houses, hotels, and private collections around the world and range from six inches to seventy feet in height. Currently 11 solo shows and over 80 group shows around the country and the globe. Besides sculpting and film making, Arzan dabbles in a number of activities namely designing props and sets for experimental plays, designing and making trophies. He is passionate about his work and takes up challenges which defy his own creativity. His favourite saying is ”THE IMPOSSIBLE JUST TAKES A LITTLE LONGER”.
