Event Description :
EXHIBITION ‘Beyond Mind (Art Family 16)' A National art show

The Exhibition presents a glimpse of contemporary art in India, conveying as many  schools and “isms” of modern Indian art. Artist Manisha Dohre is a painter of figures  in force, her painting ‘Hang With My Senses’ displayed in the exhibition shows her    mastery over rendering the movements and feelings. She usually explores human  feelings in her highly creative works which blended with human catharsis. Artist  Prof. Kumkum Mathur’s maturity and erudition is reflected in her brilliant synthesis  of the symbolism underlying contemporary art. The implicitly, directness, boldness,  and metaphoric stylization characterize her work. but on the other hand artist  Tathagata Das favors semi-abstraction in his decorative but a figurative drawing  based paintings that possessed by a great merit of space division, Colour harmony,  well built composition etc. and of course a real painting quality of classical flavour.  Rajib Sikdar images are conceived in a stylized form where the pictorial quality is of  high order and the form is controlled by the proliferation of linear. Senior  Photographer Dr. Paromita Mukerjee mostly covers the vast area of landscape  photography through which she successfully captures the mystic moments in nature  which gives the feeling like thivine before you. Sukanta Halder is a sculptor of semi-  figurative based on humanism where his work is of surrealistic order. his wooden  sculpture ‘Kesobati is a finest proof of his Excellency on plastic art. Dr. Shreekant  Gour belongs to the group of artists who are more experimental. He works in a semi-  figurative with a creative distortion manner embracing expressionism that often that  shows the maturity of the artist.
