Event Description : Readers' Break Interactive Reading "The Bell Jar" by Sylvia Plath (1963).
Thinking she had come to Boston for an internship in journalism, Esther Greenwood soon discovers she has landed in a space of boredom and lack of interest. She sinks slowly towards clinical depression. The story echoes with Sylvia Plath's own suicide, one month after publication of the novel.
