DANCE "Shubhanu Nrithyakshetram" 5th Annual Day Celebration.

About Shubhanu:- Shubhanu started in 2002 by assisting artists, teachers and students, in India and abroad by providing dance accessories, costume through its website www.shubhanu.com. A wing of Shubhanu – “Shubhanu Nrithyakshetram” , since 2009 has been contributing to cultural development, upkeep of traditions and bring about awareness through Bharatanatyam training in Thanjavur style. Shubhanu Nrithyakshetram is registered with Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, Miraj and students every year appear for certifications in Bharatanatyam..

About Aparna Rajaraman Balaji:- Driven by her love for dance, Smt. Aparna Rajaraman Balaji founded Shubhanu Nrithyashetram to impart the divine art form to people keen to learn. She had her initial training and arangetram under Mrs. Kodhai Narayanan. Aparna has been a young achiever from the start. She was granted the prestigious Sahitya Kala Parishad scholarship by the government of Delhi and has pursued her love for dance by procuring a Masters in Fine Arts (Bharatanatyam) Degree from Kalai Kaviri College Of Fine Arts, Trichy. She is also trained in Carnatic music (vocal) under the tutelage of Smt. Gowri Jagannathan. Aparna has performed in India, Japan, England and Germany. She has performed solos at prestigious Natyanjali festival, Chidambaram; SOPAN festival by Sahitya Kala Parishad, Asian Network Of Major Cities 21, Tokyo, Japan and Youth Festival – Common Wealth Games 2010. Cherished by her students for her encouragement and

tremendous patience, she has ensured that her shishyaas learn to be confident in dance and understand what it personifies.

Performance include following items:-
1. Swaranjali followed by single hand gesture usages by beginners – tiny tots
2. Natesha Kautvam by Juniors
3. Tishra Alarippu by juniors
4. Shabdam by Intermediate
5. Thodayamangalam by seniors
6. Thillana by seniors
7. Mangalam by all the students

Accompanying artists are:-
1. Dr Vasudevan Iyengar on vocal support
2. Shri Keshavan Perumal on the mridangam
3. Shri Rohit Prasanna on the flute, and
4. Smt Aparna Rajaraman Balaji on the nattuvangam
