Event Description : THEATRE : Old World Culture presents "Sat Bhashe Raidas" Hindi Play.
The play is about 15th century Bhakti saint, Ravidas. It not only brings out his personal story but also throws light on the socio political thread of Banaras, an era steeped in caste discrimination and untouchability. The upper cast Brahmins were afraid of Ravidas’s speeches, as he was educating, and uniting the untouchable youth, to fight their own fight. A musical joyride all along even as it tackles a serious social problem.
Director : Rasika Agashe
Writer : Rajesh Kumar
