Event Description : THEATRE : Theatre Research Unit for Stage Tools (T.R.U.S.T) presents "Ye Kothewaliyaan" Hindustani comedy play.

‘Ye Kothewaliyaan’ is the play based on Padmabhushan Amrit Lal Nagar’s, novel, which is the original and unique social survey on the issues of sex workers – ‘Ye Kothevaliyan (1960)’,  which is based on the interviews done with real life Tawaifs and Kothewalis. This play tries to engage into the debate of social relations and gender identities;  the representation of women & their place in society; exploitation of women with changing social, political and economic scenario of the country; and their relationships to men.
