Event Description : Saksham Theatre Group presents "Noor Mahal" Hindi Comedy play as part of 'Saksham Theatre Festival 2017'

Somewhere in the old Nawabi city of Lucknow lies Noor Mahal, a dilapidated building desperately trying to hold on to its past splendor. It remains the sole witness to the life of Bade Abba, its patriarch who is now 99 yrs., 3 months and 13 days old. It is the intense wish of Fakruddin, Bade Abba’s man that Bade Abba live up to a 100 yrs and more. Although Bade Abba’s three sons share this sentiment, they can hardly extricate themselves from their busy businesses and lives in different parts of the city.
Owner of the successful ‘Karishma Fireworks’ in his prime, Bade Abba now fully dependent on his sons financially. Apart from handling the stubborn and sprightly 99 years old Fakruddin bear the barbs and taunts of the sons and their wives . As Bade Abba closes in on his 100th birthday, state elections are announced and Bade Abba is proud to be one of the oldest citizens exercising his vote.
