About the Organization : CES was founded in August 2000 as an independent organization engaged in research and advocacy on a range of social and economic justice issues in India. We examine the nature and causes of social injustice and inequity that befall the poorest sections of India to find ways to move towards a more equitable, humane and peaceful society. We particularly focus on hunger, religious and communal conflict, and the plight of street children and the homeless. The publishing arm of Yodakin is the indie publishing house YODA PRESS, which has been creating a list of alternative narrative non-fiction and crossover and academic writing since 2004 in areas such as sexuality, popular culture, visual culture, city writings, and new perspectives in history.
