Event Description : FILM "Kakkoos" Tamil with English subtitles. 

The film documents the lives of Manual scavengers in Tamil Nadu and the dehumanising that comes with their occupation. It raises issues related to contractual employment, delayed payments made to the sanitation workers and to the larger context of ostracization faced by the manual scavengers. 
The screening will be followed by a discussion with the film maker.
