Event Description : THEATRE : Drashta India presents '30th January' Hindi play.

Synopsis : Martyrs’ Day marks the death anniversary of Gandhi-ji, who was assassinated on 30th January, 1948 by Nathuram Godse. Godse held Gandhi-ji responsible for the partition of India, thus he shot Gandhi-ji.  Since then, various people have circulated their own and often unfounded, theories about the murder. Half truths have been intermingled with true incident and passed off as whole truth. A generation of Indians has grown up believing them to be true. Our play talks and seeks to answer many questions and puts the facts straight. Contents derived from work on Gandhi-ji by D.G. Tendulkar, Utpal Dutt and Anu Bandhopadhyay.
