Event Description : Interactive Exhibition: Erfinderland Deutschland | Land of Inventors - Research in Germany.

Whether car, TV or computer - German inventions continue to change the world. Currently, Germany ranks among the top 3 nations in patent applications and is showing a steady increase in the workforce in science and research. Good prospects for an innovative future in an innovative country - also for young people from around the world who are interested in studying or researching in Germany. In cooperation with the Fraunhofer Institute and the Max Planck Society in Germany, which rank among the world’s leading research institutes in the scientific and technical fields, the Goethe-Institut has curated an exhibition: Erfinderland Deutschland | Land of Inventors - Research in Germany that showcases path-breaking inventions from German scientific disciplines. The focus is on both historic discoveries and pioneering innovations. This sweeping look at the German research scenario is definitely a must-see.
The presentation includes film and audio stations divided into seven themes: Computer Science, Energy, Mobility, Communication, Medicine, Optics and Material. Aimed at students, it encourages the audience to interact with the exhibits. There is also a kiosk with information on higher education and research practices in Germany. The exhibition is in German (with the English translation available at each station), and offers the visitors a range of hands-on media, pictures, texts as well as a worksheet specially designed to guide them through the exhibition.

On demand is also a host of allied programmes including a special information session on Study in Germany and a CLILiG (Content Langauge Integrated Learning in German) workshop:
Info-Session on Study in Germany:
Saturday, 4 February, between 16:30-17:30 & Monday, 6 February, 16:30-17:30

MINT/CLIliG Workshop for school and university students on:
