India is marked by a land of vast cultural diversities with its roots deeply embedded in its folk tradition reflecting different time periods. These folk songs very often carry notes which are very similar to Hindustani Ragas. This presentation will highlight the contributions of such folk elements which often blend into Hindustani classical music.
Sarita Pathak Yajurvedi belongs to Rampur Sadarang tradition. Married into the illustrious family of Acharya K.C.D Brahaspati, Sarita has been a disciple of Pt. Shanker Nath Patil and Vidushi Sulochna Brahaspati
