Event Description : DOC FILM "The Look of Silence" Screening of select film from Dharamshala International Film Festival 2015. 

Indonesian optometrist Adi travels from house to house performing eye tests and interviewing unrepentant locals who were involved in mass slaughter during the anti-communist ‘purge’ of 1965 to 1966. Among their victims were Adi’s older brother, Ramli, whose torture and dismemberment were graphically depicted in a book written and illustrated by one of the film’s subjects.
