The documentary opens up insights into the issues of food sovereignty, sustainable management of traditional rice farming system by focusing on a member of Kurichiya tribal community, inhabiting the Western Ghats at Wayanad, Kerala. Unlike others in his community, Raman Cheruvayal, a 65-year-old cultivator has been cultivating 35 traditional rice varieties.
