Event Description : DANCE "La Forêt Ebouriffée"

Alliance Francaise de Delhi With the support of Institut Francais, Spedidam, and Oman Air present La foret ebouriffee - A Dance performance. This spectacle, between dance, theatre and tale, is adapted from a children’s book written by Mélanie Thierry. Against a backdrop of video-projections made by the writer, two dancers narrate the story of Racine (narrated with English subtitles).

Racine a little boy, who no one cares for, flees from the hostile daily life and takes refuge in a forest. In this encroaching forest, he sets-off on a surprising adventure, gradually tracing a path that leads him back to himself. La forêt ébouriffée is a poetic journey inside childhood evoking with aptness the difficulty and pleasure of becoming an adult. The scenography and video projections deftly interpose virtual images with the bodies in motion, immersing the audience into a world that is as moving as it is extraordinary.
This beautiful show is for kids and adults alike, and free to walk in
