Event Description : Epic The Channel presents "Indian Textiles: The Traditional In The Contemporary" An illustrated talk by Mayank Mansingh Kaul, textile designer and curator, focussing on contemporary design in Indian textiles, which aim at reviving and preserving skills and artisanship in tradition. By showing the work of designers and revivalists, the talk will show how the diverse historical traditional textiles of India from Benaras brocades to Naga shawls are receiving a new lease of life through recent design interventions.
