Event Description : Impresario India presents "Chandra Upasana" 18th National Festival of Creative Arts.
Concept : In a country with so much of diversities, Culture has been the age-old link to keep it united. In 1999, when there were not many opportunities for inter-regional cultural exchanges, Impresario India took the initiative to institute a Platform in Delhi with the objective to showcase the work being done by some of our senior Gurus in regional centers and to offer exposure to their talented disciples. The other aspect was to take advantage of the presence of these dancers/choreographers in different styles from different regions to exchange ideas and undertake experimentations in workshops and informal discussions so as to evolve creative productions. This national platform serves as an ideal platform where present meets the past and future. This is important, as no art form can survive, let alone grow and evolve, if it is not in step with the spirit of time. This annual Festival of Impresario India – which will be 18 th in an uninterrupted series – is just such a journey we aim to achieve. With the passage of time and need, the content and dimension of the Festival has been diversified to include music, drama and other forms of performing arts.
Schedule :
29th March : Odissi recital by Nrutyayan Dance Ensemble, Bhubaneswar.
Choreography: Durga Charan Ranbir.
Followed by 'Spark & Dark' Innovative art in Hand Shadowgraphy by Amar Sen & Sabyasachi Sen.
30th March : Banshee Bharatanatyam & Kathakali group recital by Parampara Dance Institute. Choreography: Rajdeep Banerjee.
