Event Description : The Old World Collegiate Theatre Festival.
The festival is an important platform that showcases the passion, quality, maturity and innovative stage craft displayed by young theatre enthusiasts . For Collegiate Dramatics, it is undeniably a much coveted event, being the only mainstream Festival to accord a performance opportunity to their productions.
From an adaptation of Ray Cooney's popular play Run For Your Wife, to an original play inspired by Saadat Hasan Manto's short story The Dog of Tithwal, from an amalgamation of three plays, i.e., Giddha, Kutte & Sakharam Binder written by renowned playwright Vijay Tendulkar to Yasmina Reza's Art, the festival has lots to offer.
The plays have been shortlisted by theatre critic & academic Keval Arora who has been with the Festival since inception. The productions will be mentored by Theatre actor-director Dilip Shankar, who is the Line Producer (Ayurveda – Art of Being, Samsara,Valley of Flowers) and Casting Director (Monsoon Wedding, Darjeeling Limited, Shadows of Time, Dilli 6, Little Terrorist, Life of Pi, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Angry Indian Goddesses).
