Background : Buddhist lecture series on Buddhism and contemporary society
Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts, New Delhi will commence Second Series of lecture on Buddhism and Contemporary Society from 15th February to 31st March, 2016 on every Monday/Wednesday/Friday and (last lecture ie.,31st March, Thursday). Eminent scholars and experts from all over India including Ven. Geshe Damdul, Prof. Andrea Losaries, Ven.Kabir Saxena, Dr.Binoy Behl, Prof.H.P.Negi, Prof.K.T.Sarao, Ven. Geshe Choeden, Prof Rabindra Pant will deliver lectures on unexplored areas of Buddhism such as Contemporary Buddhist ritual practices: "The one gate to the Buddhism Yana system", Emptiness and Relativity, Buddhism in Films, Actualization of Buddhist theory in day to day life, Buddhism and Science: Overview of Historical interface Between Buddhism and Science: Breaking down the barrier, Engaged Buddhism: Addressing issues such as gender study, etc.
