Event Description : Youth for Heritage Foundation presents "Remnants Of A Separation- 1947" by Aanchal Malhotra, multidisciplinary artist studying the material remains of the Partition of the Indian Subcontinent in 1947.
The talk attempts to narrate an alternative history of the Partition of India through material memory, providing a study into the objects that individuals took with them when they left their homes at the time of the Great Divide- the belongings that became a part of their life, their journey.
