Event Description : "Fractured World, Fractured Lives" a solo show of paintings & poems by Neena Nehru

This exhibition explores the theme of a world fractured along lines drawn by race, religion, nation, class, gender....... a schizophrenic world where peace, plenty and beauty are uneasy bedfellows with war, destitution and suffering.

Neena Nehru is an artist and poet.
During her college years in London, she was swept up by the Marxist and Feminist movements of the '60s. On returning to India she began working in the slums of Chandigarh with a group of activists. These influences and experiences underpin her paintings and her poems, She has held several exhibitions of her paintings in Mumbai and Delhi, the most recent being at the Art Heritage Gallery in 2013, Her paintings are held in several private and corporate collections.
