Shiv Nadar University presents "Trends in Education and Inequality" a talk by Dr. Surjit Bhalla, Chairman, Oxus Investments and Senior India Analyst, Observatory Group (a New York based macro policy advisory firm) 
As part of 'India And The World: International Experience And National Policy' series.

Speaker:
Surjit Bhalla has a PhD from Princeton University and is currently a Senior India Analyst for the Observatory Group, a New York based macroeconomic policy advisory firm, and Chairman and Managing Director of Oxus Investments. He has taught at the Delhi School of Economics and worked at the Rand Corporation, the Brookings Institution, as well as in Goldman Sachs and Deutsche Bank. He is on the governing board of India’s largest think tank, NCAER.  He is a well-known columnist with over 1,000 articles in popular press. He has even authored a book on cricket titled Between the Wickets: The Who and Why of the Best in Cricket (1987).

CHAIR:  Arun Maira (Chancellor, Central University of Himachal Pradesh; Former Member of Planning Commission)Arun Maira is currently the Chancellor of the Central University of Himachal Pradesh. He was formerly a member of the Planning Commission. He is also the Former Chairman of Boston Consulting Group and Former Chairman, Save the Children, India.
