It is a tribute to the Chennai victims. Jitendra asked artists to paint majorly with blue colour which is also the theme of the exhibition. Gallery is launching a calendar for year 2016, based on Indian Contemporary artists like S.H. Raza, M. F. Husian, Manish Pushkale, Kanchan Chander, Arpana Caur, Kavita Nayar, Sunil Das etc.

Annkush B Sharma who will be assisting this exhibition would like to thanks his artguru  Jitendra Padam Jain for giving platform in this exhibition to showcase his talent to save water.
Blue is the colour of the sky and sea. It is often associated with depth and stability. It symbolizes trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, faith, truth, and heaven. Blue is considered beneficial to the mind and body. It slows human metabolism and produces a calming effect. India has always been exalted and remembered fondly as the country of symbolic colors. To an outsider, its colorful culture, streets, and stories seem like a page out of an ancient folk tale. But color, in essence, has been a large part of the Indian consciousness. The color blue, for instance, is associated with Lord Krishna, perhaps one of the most favored gods in India. And, as is obvious for any agricultural economy, green symbolizes a new beginning, harvest, and happiness. It is also the revered color of Islam, a large religious presence in India. The colors of India have mesmerized rulers, outsiders, and visitors – perhaps more so because of the stories and legends that bind its people, its culture, and its beliefs.

Because of the obvious diversity in its population, India is home to myriad interpretations and representations of symbols and colors. Colors represent different emotions to people living in different regional, geographical, and religious divides. And perhaps certain colors that have a special place in a particular area may not necessarily enjoy a similar status elsewhere. Some of the universally celebrated colors find their origins in the spices that are used widely across geographic and religious divides.

Artist Kanchan Chander has shown her trademark style torso, Ghazanfar Zaidi has captured beautiful moments of wildlife, Prem Singh has showed his different style, Sangeeta Gupta has painted lines of light, Balbir Krishan has shown the other side of human sexuality, Vinita Dasgupta has done beautiful new media, Anil Gaikwad has an amazing sense of abstract art, Shampa Sircar Das has painted and titled “Blue”, Sanjay Das has also clicked amazing shots, Ritu Kamath has done very interesting intricate work, Dhyan Passika has shown the sublime golden path, Giriraj Singh has done a surprisingly worth to watch work after a long break, Kirandeep Matharu has justified her talent, Meena has done scenic figurative work, Rashmi Mahanta has also donned beautiful lens art related to wildlife, Ritu Gupta is again here to showcase her trademark series “Shades of India”.
