Event Description : "Antarangam : Murmurs of the heart" Solo Bharatanatyam dance recital by Geeta Chandran. 
A solo performance that explores SHRINGARA/LOVE in its delicate aspects. Sub-titled Murmurs of the heart, Geeta’s performance will showcase sensuousness and how the soft and the understated becomes the preferred aesthetic path of declaring love and passion.

The performance will showcase Geeta Chandran’s astute understanding of the art of Bharatanatyam, and especially its efflorescence in abhinaya, or expression.

Trained by three masters in abhinaya – Guru Swarna Saraswathi from the traditional devadasi parampara, Smrt. Kalanidhi Narayanan, who revamped Bharatanatyam’s approach to abhinaya, and Smt. Jamuna Krishnan who stretched the frontiers of abhinaya to new shores, Geeta has managed to create a potent amalgam of this vast learning to craft her own unique style of abhinaya that envelopes audiences everywhere, and is especially attractive to young rasikas of classical dance.

GEETA CHANDRAN: A celebrated artist and a star-performer, Geeta Chandran has synthesised the knowledge she received from a galaxy of eminent Gurus to imprint Bharatanatyam with her personal vision of the dance. In her dance presentations Geeta Chandran skilfully weaves abstract notions of Joy, Beauty, Values, Aspirations, Myth and Spirituality.
