India already has the financial, medical, technological, and human resources to offer all of her 1.25 billion citizen’s good quality healthcare services. What we lack is a properly designed health delivery system and a willingness to learn from solutions already available.

About the speaker : Dr. Nachiket Mor, Chair of the Board, CARE India, has a background in finance and economics, and has specific interest in financial access and healthcare. He has been on the Board of CRISIL, IKP Centre for Technologies in Public Health, the Institute for Financial Management and Research. He currently serves as a member of the RBI Board of Director’s Standing Committee on Financial Inclusion; the Research Advisory Council of the RBI’s Centre for Advanced Financial Research and Learning; and the Standing Council of Experts on the Indian Financial Sector of the Ministry of Finance, Government of India. In the past he has worked with ICICI from 1987 to 2011 in Corporate Planning, Project Finance, Corporate Banking, Treasury, and Rural Banking. He was a member of ICICI Bank’s Board from 2001-2007. From October 2007 to March 2011, he assisted ICICI in setting up a philanthropic foundation, the ICICI Foundation for Inclusive Growth and served as its founding President.
