Schedule update (instead of another performance mentioned in the schedule link above) : IGNCA in collaboration with Roopvani (Varanasi) will present a dance-drama Ram ki Shakti Puja on November 29, 2015 (Sunday), at 6:30 pm at the IGNCA Lawns, 3, Dr Rajendra Prasad Road. Based on the poem written in 1936 by renowned Hindi writer Suryakant Tripathi Nirala, Ram ki Shakti Puja is presented in three classical dance forms- Chhau, Kathak and Bharatnatyam.
Directed by Shri Vyomesh Shukla(a renowned poet, writer, and translator), the dance drama presents one of the stories from Ramayana by young teenage actors from Varanasi. Shri Shukla has been associated with Roopvani for many years and chose the subject to commemorate seventy years of completion of Nirala’s poem.

ongoing programme Living Traditions of Ramkatha and Mahabharata and conceding to
the request from the National Ramlila Council of Trinidad and Tobago, which hosted the
first International Conference on Ramlila, is organizing a seven day International
Conference on Ramlila and Ramkatha manchan under the theme Epic Processes:
Mobility, Patronage and Aesthetics
