Event Description : Shiv Nadar University (SNU) presents  "Employing and Skilling a Billion People" a talk by Shri Manish Sabharwal, Chairman, Teamlease.

Speaker:
Manish Sabharwal is currently the Chairman and Co-Founder of Team lease Services, India’s largest staffing and human capital firm. Team lease has over 110,000 employees in 5000 cities and is implementing India’s first vocational university in Gujarat and first national PPP apprenticeship program. In 1996 he co-founded India Life, an HR outsourcing company that was acquired by Hewitt Associates in 2002. Consequently he was CEO of Hewitt Outsourcing (Asia) in Singapore. Manish serves on various state and central government committees on education, employment and employability and is a columnist for the Indian Express and Economic Times. He got his MBA from The Wharton School in 1996 and is an alumni of Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi and Mayo College, Ajmer.

CHAIR: Kiran Karnik (Chair of IIIT; Former Chairman NASSCOM)

Kiran Karnik was the President of NASSCOM from 2001 to 2008. He was the CEO of Discovery Communications and launched Discovery Channel and Animal Planet. Among many awards, he has also being conferred Padma Shri. He was the first Visiting Senior Fellow of C-PACT, SNU. Currently, he is Chair of Oxfam India, Chairman of the Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology (a university set up by the Delhi government), and President of India Habitat Centre.
