Event Description : A Sufi Evening with Shaykh Muhammad Mehmet Adil al-Hakkani al-Kibrisi (q.s.) from Turkey.

About the Speaker : Shaykh Muhammad Mehmet Adil was born on 29 March 1957 in Damascus. He is the oldest son of Sultanul Awliya Shaykh Muhammad Nazim Adil al-Kibrisi (QS) and Hajja Amina Adil Sultan Hanim.
His father and guide Shaykh Muhammad Nazim Adil al-Kibrisi is of the lineage of the founder of the Qadiriyya Tariqa, Abdul-Qadir Gilani, while his great grandmother is of the lineage of the founder of the Mawlawi Tariqa, Mawlana Jalaladdin Rumi. From his father’s side, his lineage goes back to the family of the Prophet (SAW).
His mother, Hajja Amina Sultan, is the daughter of a Tatar family who migrated to Syria’s capital, Damascus, through Turkey due to the start of anti-religious policies of Communist countries of the time. She is originally from the Orenburg Bakey town  of the Republic of Tatarstan, a subject of the Russian Federation.
Shaykh Muhammad Mehmet Adil spent his youth in Syria under the guidance of both Shaykh Abdullah Fa’izi ad-Daghestani and Shaykh Muhammad Nazim Adil al-Kibrisi, training in the manner and disipline of the Naqshbandi Tariqa. He received his madrasa Islamic education from the Ahl-e Sunnat scholars of Damascus.
Shaykh Muhammad Nazim Adil al-Kibrisi (QS) declared publicly before passing away that the person to succeed him, i.e. his khalifa, would be Shaykh Muhammad Mehmet Adil. He took over the trust as the 41st Shaykh of the Golden Chain of the Naqshibandi Tariqa with the passing of Shaykh Muhammad Nazim Adil al-Kibrisi (QS) to the Abode of Eternity on 7 May 2014.
Shaykh Muhammad Mehmet Adil resides in the village of Akbaba of Beykoz district, Istanbul. As long as he is here, he treats his guests arriving from all corners of the world. He sees his guests, young and old, one by one, and gives advice and sohba to them.
