Event Description : "Save Hope Evolve - SHE" a solo paintings and drawings exhibition by Vibha Maurya.
Concept
Vibha's work is a celebration of womanhood, of beauty and strength. The emotion in the form of colors spill on her canvas in a way that is figurative. Her work often portrays different moods of female protagonists, their feelings, emotions and tensions. It is grounded in the real world and expresses feelings that are close to her heart. Her paintings are an intimate sharing of her experiences in response to her immediate surroundings.
Art has its own language and she uses its elements to create some kind of mood or it is an expression of something that she feels. The thread of the main theme, Women, weaves across each of her paintings and drawings- which are regardless of culture, race and nation. She gets fascinated by a face, the endless stories a face can tell and the emotions that it can portray without having to say a word is something what drives her to capture it on canvas.
Through her works she wishes to portray the feminine energy of SHAKTI, the strength, in all its glory. Her goals as an artist are to continue to explore her art practices as a learning experience and develop a conceptual thinking about her work.
