In the one minute that you spend reading this email, at least one person will either be killed or seriously injured in a road accident somewhere in India. In the next hour this will include two children. The menace of road accidents in India continues unabated and is growing year on year. The government and citizens together need to act NOW to prevent this monumental loss of life, limb and livelihood.
COLORS (Coalition for Road Safety), a collective of Indian NGOs and spirited members of the community working on or concerned about road safety in India, are organising a peaceful walk in the heart of Delhi to demand safer roads for all, especially the most vulnerable of us, and mark a day of remembrance for victims of road accidents in India.
