Event Description : VSK Baithak with Pt. Vijay Sardeshmukh.
"Virtually unknown, unheard in Delhi, Pune based Pt. Vijay Sardeshmukh is undoubtedly amongst the most sonorous and evolved vocalists of this country. So reclusive and self effacing is he by temperament that it took even someone like me to hear him sing only a few months ago at our residence. And what a joyous revelation it was. Music that was meditative and steeped in melody – music that was soulful and resonant without any artifice or affectation. In a voice which is rich & supple. Vijay ji is amongst the senior most shishyas of Pt. Kumar Gandharv ji and his music has not only a soul connect but a soulful connect with Kumar ji’s music. And yet it is Vijay ji’s own version of that extraordinary musical genius. I consider it a privilege to be able to share the music of Pt. Vijay Sardeshmukh with Rasiks of Delhi." -  Vinod Kapur
