Muskurahat: "Lonely But Not Alone" - Encouraged by the success of our earlier projects, the Lion family has taken the next step by establishing MUSKURAHAT. This event endeavors not only to make old age people smile but also to explore their unexplored talent to the mass. It is certainly not a lot of fun to stay in old age home away from friends, family and relatives. There are so many people to take care of them in an old age home. However, there is still too much time when these people feel lonesome, bored to tears and anxious of future consequences. Muskurahat- "Lonely But Not Alone" is a complete entertainment program under one roof to deal with their current emotional state and help them finding a reason to live the life with full joy.
Introduction: Lion Society for Art & Social welfare (Regd.)
Lion Society for Art and Social Welfare is a registered NGO under Society Registration Act XXI of 1860 with Reg. No. S-56664/06.Established on 15th September 2006. Recently certified with 80G and 12A by the Govt. of India.
“The Lion Society for Art & Social Welfare has a strong focus on Social Awareness through Film & Theatre. It came into existence by some young but professional youths having specialization in their fields with a common thought of glorifying India and strong beliefs that if we treat everyone as equal and with respect, this world can truly be a heaven on earth. Our main objective is to bring in the positive change by uniting people who share common vision.”
Our Punch line: “Creating Social Awareness through Film & Theatre”
Aims & Objectives:
1. Make theatre and media effective means of communication to generate awareness in the society about the social evils, their causes and cures.
2. Generate funds that would be directed towards helping people who have been a victim of social evils.
3. Encourage budding artists by providing an appropriate platform to help them display their talent.
4. Offer our audience an exciting novel theatre experience.
Our Units:
1. TOLI Theatre Group:
This is one of the major units of NGO Lion Society for Art and Social Welfare. It is a group of young working professionals from different working sectors, mainly involved in doing Street Plays, Stage Plays, Acting Training Sessions and other theatre activities.
Name of our major plays on Stageare: “NehlePeDehla”, “Girgit”, “Bhookhhad”, “Main Ram Banna Chahta Hu”, “Parivartan”,”Janta Darbaar”, “Greebdas Ki Holi”.
Name of our major plays on Streets are: “Kabaad”, “Jod –Muththi Bhar Dard”, “Sabak”, “Haadsa”, “Mahadaan”, “Pyaas”, “Asar-Kya Khoya Kya Paya”, “May I Help You”.
1. Lion Films:
This is also an another major unit of NGO Lion Society for Art and Social Welfare, mainly focused on producing Fiction Films (Short Films) and Nonfiction films (Corporate Documentary Film) on different social causes.
