Event Description : This month, Nitoo Das will read from her book titled Boki (Virtual Artists Collective, Chicago, 2008). Nitoo Das is a birder, caricaturist and poet. Her first collection of poetry, Boki, was published in 2008. Das’s PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru University dealt with constructions of the Assamese Identity under the British. Das teaches literature at Indraprastha College for Women, University of Delhi.
Background : IGNCA Book Circle @ Reference Library. Under the Outreach initiative the IGNCA Book Circle has a monthly event held on the fourth Thursday of every month.
Exciting works of fiction, non-fiction and those of academic interest will be showcased through readings, panel discussions and informal conversations. The aim is to tap into the rich intellectual wealth of Delhi and the IGNCA, and bridge the divide between the reader and writer in the wonderful setting on the IGNCA Library.
