Event Description :  Bhisham Sahni's "Kabira Khadaa Bajjaar Mein" Hindi Play as part of "Life-Word-Image: A Hundred Years Of Bhisham Sahni". 
The play revolves around the life of the 15th century poet-philosopher, Kabir and underlines, through the poet’s verse and deeds, the poet’s deep compassion and empathy for the downtrodden and his struggle against all forms of oppression, religious intolerance and misrule. The play, a tour de force when it was first staged in 1982 by M.K.Raina, created a buzz across the country for the next 15 years drawing huge audiences wherever it was performed because of its continuing relevance. To commemorate Bhisham Sahni’s Centenary, Raina has produced a fresh version of this play with a young and enthusiastic caste of 25 actors.
