Event Description : "Trace(s)" A Photography Exhibition by Ioulia Chvetsova, Marie Langlest and Alan Rubin

Franco-Russian photographer, Ioulia Chvetsova specializes in travel photography. In this series of photographs she combines images taken in India and Russia. After completing the Open College of the Arts London distant photography course in 2009, she has lived in Nepal, Tadjikistan and India documenting the traditions, festivals and overall culture she discovered along the way. Recently two of her photos “Holi” and “Monkey” were preselected for the Sony World Photography Awards competition, “15 Photographs that will Open Your Eyes to the Wonders of the World.” You can see her work on her website www.chvetsova.com 

French photographer Marie Langlest combines photographs as diptychs or triptychs and presents her work as visual haiku poems. Images make their own story when together. she photographs every day, putting images together to make her own kind of haiku, telling her story with memories and feeling. 
Marie has worked as an artist, a press photographer and worked in art therapy as a photographer. Her work has been seen in galleries in European exhibitions. Today she photographs everyday life in the countries she crosses or lives in.

American photographer Alan Rubin is a street photographer who began photographing in the streets in the late 1990’s in New York City. In recent years he has been using his camera to explore culture and the environment, first in Africa and currently in India.
