Event Description : Jashn-e-Bahar Trust presents Mushaira Jashn-e-Bahar 2015. 
Distinguished Urdu poets from China, the USA, Canada, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and India will participate in the mushaira, organized by the non-profit  Jashn-e-Bahar Trust.

Poetry unites across cultures, like nothing else does. And this year, the much awaited mushaira Jashn-e-Bahar brings together the best of Urdu poets from the USA, Canada, China, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and all over India. 
The poets list for the evening includes Kishwar Naheed, Amjad Islam Amjad and Ambareen Hasib from Pakistan, Dr Abdullah Abdullah from the USA, Ashfaq Hussain Zaidi from Canada, Omar Salim Al-aidroos from Saudi Arabia and Zhang Shixuan from China.
India will be represented at the mushaira by top names from the world of Urdu poetry. These include Prof Wasim Barelvi, Javed Akhtar, Munawwar Rana, Khushbir Singh Shaad, Meenu Bakshi, Popular Meeruthi, Aalok Srivastav, Kaleem Samar and Aleena Itrat. Eminent poet Mansoor Usmani will conduct the mushaira.
Senior journalist and writer Kuldip Nayar will preside over mushaira and Lt Gen Zameer Uddin Khan, Vice Chancellor, Aligarh Muslim University will be the Chief Guest. The non-profit Jashn-e-Bahar Trust which is dedicated to the service of Urdu and our syncretic culture, organizes this annual mega event with the aim of promoting amity in the subcontinent and continuing the unique tradition of mushaira, wherein practitioners of the art of Urdu poetry present their compositions directly to their audiences.  
“In India, the institution of mushaira has always mirrored the secular, syncretic credentials that are synonymous with both the character of Urdu and the idea of Hindustan. We strive to keep this institution alive and thereby nurture the values of liberal humanism that Urdu literature stands for,” says Kamna Prasad, Urdu Activist and Founder, Jashn-e-Bahar Trust.

Jashn-e-Bahar Trust, a non-profit organization, is dedicated to serving the cause of Urdu.
