About Krishna Das :
Born at Long Island, Krishna Das visited India in 1970 to seek enlightenment. He bound his soul with the Indian devotional music-kirtan and began chanting the name of Divine.
· KD an American singer is known for his Indian kirtan-styled devotional music.
· The artist visited India in 1970 and studied “Bhakti Yoga”- the yoga of dedication, and dedicated his life in chanting the spiritual melody of the God’s in all his variant forms. Inspired by yoga KD was the Music Front Runner of Yoga Movement.
· KD also co-founded Triloka Records, a California-based label specializing in world music, releasing artists such as Jai Uttal, sarod virtuoso Ali Akbar Khan, and legendary jazz musician/composer Jackie McLean.
· In 2013 KD was nominated for the Grammy as the “Best New Age Artist”.
· Obtaining the title of Kirtan Wallah, KD educes his spiritual practice dwelled with the western roots. Chanting Sanskrit shlokas, KD facilitates a deep sense of comfort, peace and inner happiness.

About the album - Kirtan Wallah:
The astounding American singer released his 14th Album, Kirtan Wallah-one who sings kirtan. With his sanctifying voice, KD chants the name of the Gods on harmonium tunes. The album depicts the exploration of Nashville countries. It features the true essence of KD’s musical streams, with an earful load of sweet bansuri (flute) swaying its way through the symphony of guitar, tablas and kartals.

Each song touches the heart and embraces the deep-connection of soul with the Gods. The album ‘Kirtan Wallah’ consist of devotional kirtans like Sri Argala Stotram, 4am Chalisa, Show Me Love which is a refreshing mash up of traditional Hindu prayer and rock ballad like ‘I Wanna Know What Love is’, and more.
