Event Description : "Yoga: An Ancient Vision of Life" film screening as part of the 'The Other Dimension' Series.
There is a wave of yoga sweeping the world today. It is practiced regularly in over 76 countries and it is estimated that, in the USA alone, over 30 million people have practiced yoga. However, few know what the true and deep meaning of Yoga really is.
This documentary is made for CountryWide Projects by one of the most renowned art and cultural historians and film maker from India.The project was conceived and produced by a devoted Yoga practitioner and teacher firmly rooted in the tradition of Patanjali's Yoga Sutras. It takes us to the true meaning of Yoga, including in it interviews with the leading teachers of Yoga at the most important Yoga lineages from India as well as prominent doctors, scientists and researhers worldwide.
The film is a visual treat, with sensitive shooting of the finest practitioners of Yoga asanas. It is shot across India, as well as across Germany and USA. It has the last major interview with the late great guru BKS Iyengar.
