An Illustrated talk by Shri Pradeep Chakravarthy, Author of Thanjavur - A Cultural History and other books. He is one of Madras's much sought after heritage speakers. Combining music and his experience as a management consultant, he links the past to emotions and behaviors today
The talk will trace the history of painting in Tanjore and examine how Tanjore paintings evolved as a painters answer to an issue we grapple with today – how can we deal with life better? We will also learn the secrets of a few masterpieces in private and public collections across the world
