Event Description : Natya Vriksha presents an exhibition "Pleating The Silk" – that encapsulates four decades of costumes of dancer Geeta Chandran, an exhibition conceptualised and curated by designer Sandhya Raman and her Desmania Foundation, through mannequins, photographs and costume displays, Pleating The Silk looks at the evolution of Bharatanatyam costumes over the past half century. The show is an important event in the calendar marking 40 Years of the spectacular dancing career of (Padmashri) Geeta Chandran.
