Event Description : Ek, Anant presents "Revisiting the Solo" a two day festival on solo choreographies in various classical styles, presenting performative and educative aspects of solo choreographies. Highlights of the festival include lectures, audio - visuals and commentaries, the lives of legendary gurus: a journey into their art-bound lives and how their deep understanding of life and a formidable knowledge of dance, music and literature shaped their choreographic works, curated and presented by Priya Venkataraman and Shagun Butani

Odissi by Shagun Bhutani, leading exponent of Odissi and Seraikella Chhau who has trained under Smt Aloka Panikar and the late Guru Gangadhar Pradhan; and in Seraikella Chhau under the late Guru Lingaraj Acharya and Guru Shashadhar Acharya.

Mohiniattam by Neena Prasad, well-known artist who has trained under Kalamndalam Suganthi and Kalamandalam Kshemavathy.

Bharatanatyam by A. Lakshmanaswamy who has trained under Guru K.J. Sarasa.
